Prices are indicative but get in touch to discuss your preferences and Troy will try to facilitate your special author visit to meet the tightest of budgets.
Assemblies only:
£200 – £300 (depending upon travel/distance).
All resources provided including presentations. Troy will require access to a projector. Assemblies can be tailored to meet needs (20-40 minutes and whole school or specific key stages (primary and secondary)
Half Day and Full Day Visits – £300 – £500 (depending upon travel & requirements):
Assembly followed by 2 or 3 workshops. Choose from;
- Writer’s Workshop; children create their own books as a parody of one of Troy’s. 1-1.5 hours. Suitable for Upper Key Stage 2 or Key Stage 3.
- Creative Workshops; children create model flamingos or snails linked to story telling. Additional activities linked to the books including “Going on a Shrimp Hunt!” 30-50 minutes. Suitable for EYFS, Key Stage 1 & Lower Key Stage 2.
- My Beautiful Family Workshop: Story telling, poster making and character development. 30-50 minutes. Suitable for EYFS, Key Stage 1 & Lower Key Stage 2.
- The History of Diversity & The Equality Act Workshop; an interactive session that explores the history and development of the Equality Act. Suitable for Key Stage 3 or 4.
All resources provided & emailed prior to the event.
Full Day Visit & Staff Training Session – £450 – £550 (Depending upon travel and requirements):
- Assembly(ies) as directed by the school.
- Day of Workshops of your choice.
- 1 hour training session for staff to empower them to deliver a fully inclusive curriculum.
Face to face
I am accomplished at delivering author workshops & assemblies for a wide range of audiences from Reception to Y11. Activities have included re-telling my stories, question and answer sessions, story-writing workshops and creative art workshops. I have worked in schools nationwide including across Nottinghamshire, Derbyshire, Leicestershire, Birmingham, Bedford and Dorset.
